Dr John Murton

The role of the British High Commissioner is to represent the British Government in its relations with the Mauritian Government. This involves presenting and explaining UK policies to Mauritians and, in turn, reporting the views of Mauritians back to the British Government.

Dr John Evan Murton has been our High Commissioner since May 2007.
