British High Commission Port Louis

The British High Commission provides a range of services in Mauritius and also covers Madagascar and the Comoros.

If you require consular assistance in Mauritius, please contact us on the numbers provided. If urgent assistance is required out of office hours you may telephone the Duty Officer on 252 8006. Please note that this number must be used in an emergency only and not for routine enquiries. The Duty Officer will not be able to give advice about your visa application or answer general questions about UK Visas. If you require consular assistance in Rodrigues or in Madagascar, please contact your nearest Honorary Consul.

Public transport

The island is well served by a good public transport system.

If you are travelling from the north of the island take any bus to Port Louis which takes you to Gare du Nord.  This is about 15 minutes walk from the British High Commission.

If you are travelling from the south, east and west of the island take any bus to Port Louis which takes you to Gare Victoria.  This is about 10 minutes walk from the British High Commission.
